Our 2017 CSA

Check back in early 2018 for our updated CSA information.

CSA signWhat is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a way to become more involved in your community, by supporting local farmers. In exchange for paying in advance, you receive freshly harvested vegetables throughout the season.

Our custom CSA option is unique because we give you the ability to choose what items you want each week using our menu system.  This way you can try something new or plan your menu for the week. The other option is to try our traditional CSA share. This option leaves the choosing to us!

How Our CSA Works:

We offer three seasons of vegetables: Spring, Summer & Fall.

As a member who signs up for our ‘custom share’ you will have the opportunity to view a list of available items each week. You can request the items that you prefer. Or as a ‘Traditional share’ member we pick the items that come in your weekly CSA box. Your vegetables will be harvested, cleaned, packed and then delivered to each of our pick-up locations at the same time each week.

Space is limited so don’t wait too long to sign up.  Payment is required to reserve your space.

*We do our best to fulfill requests, but cannot always guarantee exact orders

Want to hear more about our CSA? Read below.

We are a small farm that specializes in growing unique vegetables and greens. You can expect to have mostly greens in the beginning and end of the season. In mid season the greens become kale in field 2sparse due to the hot weather. We grow a lot of greens because they are nutritious, but also because they are a sustainable crop. In addition, we grow unique colors and varieties of the vegetables and provide an array of heirloom varieties. Therefore our CSA is targeted towards members who are adventurous in the kitchen and with their palate. Our CSA is designed to have a strong relationship between the farmer and the consumer through regular communication. We welcome and encourage volunteer hours from our members. It is a participatory way to create a close bond with your food and your farmers.

What makes our CSA unique from others is that we generally adhere to specified units (these units are based on what you would find in a grocery store or market.) Also, the number of items we offer in a box. Please see the “Vegetable Sales” page for a list of what we grow and what months it can be expected to be available. In certain situations we may order produce from other local, organic farms to fill out the boxes.

In addition, when we have extra produce we offer it to our CSA members. You will find them in the Extras store during ordering and must add them to your order to receive. This gives the member a choice to order extra vegetables, instead of automatically including them, overwhelming their kitchen.
